What do we have to do ?
Chiang Mai is where my friend's familly live. We have been really well welcomed ! I want to thanks again Christophe's aunt and uncle for the good time I spent with them. Without them, I think I would not know Thailand better any tourist can. Even if I spent only a few less than 2 months in Thailand, I have a good feeling with this country because I have been lucky enougth to live with them there. And that's really different to simply moving from town to town, from hotel to guesthouse. Stay with people who live in a foreign country for 15 years gives you another view on this country.

The temple library
According to the legend, holy relics discovered during the reign of King Kuena(1355-1385) were placed in a howdah on the back of a white elephant, witch carried them to Wat Suan Dok.
The elephant arrived at the site of Wat Phra That, then it dropped dead due to fatigue from long journey.
The present complex dates from the 16th century and was expanded or restored several times later.
Here is the White Elephant monument.
STUPA PAGODA (Golden Chedi) The famous golden chedi of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, 79 feet high and 39 feet across at its base, is covered with engraved gold plates
After White Elephant (very rare), let's move a few and see Asian's grey elephant in the jungle
Have a bath ! grey elephants are boisterous ;-)

Thailand also have strange animals... In this snake farm I'm ok, but I agree that check your shoes all the time can be painfull.
Orchid country may be a good descriptive for Thailand. This Orchid farm shows many one, with so fantastic colors
Every week end in Chiang Mai, you can see on closed road speed cars race, this is an evidence Thailand is better managed than France... Here road are not closed...
I fished many years younger, but 5 min fishing in thailand made ridiculous my previous hi score...
Chiang Mai also have many place for party. But more and more everything close early... Here Gee singing in "Boom Senxy" club.
I practice GoKart for long time in France. But i never been able to rent so powerfull karting (not really cheap anyway...) I tryed in thailand. Of course speedway was not so good, and security is really relative in Thailand. But I'm still alive.
