Titicaca lake
What do we have to do ?
It was of course impossible to go to Bolivia (it would have been the same for Peru) without going to Titicaca lake. Because of its myth.
And what happend...
We took a bus from La Paz to Copacabana via Tiquina. Following picture shows Tiquina, where the only way to continue the road, is using ferry.
You simple use another boat than the bus.
Once arrived to Copacabana, We started for a day walk to Isla Del Sol, along Titicaca Lake.
It's not a really easy walk, because of lack of oxygen (still 3700m), and bad signalling. But it is not really hard.
I have been shocked few times during this tripby the difference of way of life between France and Bolivia. Following picture shows this, I was the first time I showed Beef ploughing the ground.
On the way you will maybe meet a man making typical Titicaca boat.
We arrived quite late at the end of the road. We found an old man who accepted to drive us to 'isla del Sol', sun island, by oar.
We found easily a GuestHouse. We stayed 2-3 days on the island, walking and walking to visit a nice and peacefull island.
This very old building from ghost city, looks Inca build. But I simply don't know !
On the other side of island, we found a boat service to go back to Copacabana.
